Our non-profit organization was established in 2005. We serve infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school children ages 6 weeks through the 5th grade. We offer full-time and part-time care. Our program was created in order to meet the needs of parents and caregivers who are concerned with providing their children with quality educational childcare.

We go above and beyond to ensure the safety and security of your child at all times. Our staff members are First Aid, CPR, Med Admin & EpiPen Certified. The entrance to our facility requires a unique family code to enter. Surveillance cameras are located in interior and exterior areas as a safeguard.

The directors and teachers work as a team to provide the highest level of care and developmentally appropriate programs for our children. All staff participate in continuing education courses periodically to enhance your child’s learning environment.
Strong Family Engagement
We use electronic media to provide state of the art communications. Each classroom has a Tablet with an app called ProCare, allowing teachers to share photos and create daily reports for every child!

Our curriculum focuses on creating and maintaining a positive learning environment, which promotes the development of gross and fine motor skills. The children will engage in exciting biweekly themes which are geared to make learning fun.

Future Foundations Welcomes Infants Starting at Six Weeks of Age
Our teachers meet each child’s individual needs in a caring and trusting learning environment. The children will daily participate in gross motor and sensory activities to promote development in a loving and nurturing setting.
Talking About Toddlers
The Toddler’s days are filled with hands-on learning experiences, music and movement, and opportunities to independently explore various activities in the classroom.
Our Toddler program is designed to meet the developmental needs of active one year olds as they transition through the different stages of their development that include increased mobility, the beginnings of more regulated sleeping and eating patterns, and the start of exploration of the world around them.

Our teachers work to help children develop cognitive skills such as problem solving and the understanding of cause and effect through hands-on experiences.
These Toddlers are developing advanced motor and communication skills, and a greater interest in creative play. These age-appropriate milestones form the basis of our toddler program. We provide a curriculum that is geared towards the older toddlers’ natural curiosity about the world around them.
Talking About Pre-Schoolers
Our teachers work hard to prepare the children for Kindergarten academically and socially.
Geared toward the developmental advancements and curiosities of our three and four year olds, our preschool/pre-k program provides a variety of experiences based on our curriculum themes, which include play-based learning and teacher lead activities. These activities promote learning in the eight CT ELDS domains: cognition, social emotional development, mathematics, science, creative arts, physical development and health, language and literacy, and social studies.
Talking About School-Age Children
Our summer program is dedicated to enriching the lives of our school age children by emphasizing having fun through learning and encouraging the children to maintain the reading level they attained throughout the school year.
Future Foundations offers fun-filled and educational activities and curriculum focused toward children ages Kindergarten through third grade. Our before and after school program has bussing to all four Torrington elementary schools. We provide care for half- days and most no school days.
